Us Patent No. 2531946 Surfboard by G B D Parker November 28 1950 — Parker's schematic arrives at the dawn of California's postwar surf boom, when boards were still hollow plywood giants paddled out at Malibu and San Onofre. The line drawing details every chambered rib and sealed seam, an inventor's diagram of buoyancy drafted before foam and fiberglass rewrote the sport.
