Us Patent No. 1568888 Golf Club by W Dunn Filed April 4 1925 Granted January 5 1926 — Willie Dunn's 1925 filing diagrams a clubhead in the twilight of the hickory age, when shafts still flexed with the grain of living wood and a maker's name was pressed into the sole like a signature. The schematic studies weight, hosel, and face angle with the patience of a craftsman who knew the swing before he knew the patent office.
